Research
Nowadays Globalization imposes a competition with the entire world and above all with emerging countries, which have alow labour cost. Our company has taken the decision to compete by raising the cultural level of its personnel through research and a series of technological innovations with the objective to maximize the value for the customer.
Automatized preforming
C*Blade has been engaged in a research program aimed to automate preforming operations in order to obtain a uniform Blade production quality, while reducing costs.
This program was began standard production process in 2001. It uses a 4-axis automatic preforming line consisting of a mechanical manipulator connected to a hydraulic press. This system allows the manufacture of Blades, starting from a hot preformed bar, with a noticeable reduction in the initial weight of the Blade and a reduction in cycle operation when compared to a conventional Forging system.
Forging simulation
In 2008 C*Blade has adopted a FEM system for the simulation of hot plastic deformation of materials in Closed Die Forging.
C*Blade is able to provide simulation of material flow and precise prediction of all kinds of flow induced defects. The defects and grain-flow as well as temperature, strain and fracture factor can be tracked in order to optimize the Forging process.
Lean Manufacturing
Lean Manufacturing or lean productions, which is often known simply as "Lean", is a production practice that considers the expenditure of resources for any goal other than the creation of value for the end customer to be wasteful, and thus a target for elimination.
C*Blade decided in 2009 to start the implementation of Lean Manufacturing in its production process, in order to enhance its competitiveness. We are obtaining awesome results in terms of:
- Gains in production capacity
- Reduction of inventory
- Reduction of throughput time
- Space optimization
- Delivery performance
C*Blade is member of the CUOA Lean Enterprise Club.
